
Palace boss Oliver Glasner has confirmed Wharton is still out of training this week after injuring an ankle ligament during the draw with Nottingham Forest.
Although Wharton appeared bright and cheerful on Friday, Glasner said he was hopeful Wharton would be back in training after Monday’s game against Spurs.

‘Unfortunately, he’s not available because he didn’t train the whole week so if everything goes right we hope that Monday after the Tottenham game he can be reintegrated, at least partly, into training,’ said Palace boss Glasner.
‘Then on Wednesday when we start preparing for the final I hope that he is in training with us.
‘For me, it is 90 per cent that he can play [the final] but always things can happen but Sunday at Tottenham is too early.
Then on Wednesday when we start preparing for the final, I hope he’ll be back in full training. For me, there’s a 90 per cent chance he’ll be in the final, but anything can happen. Sunday’s game against Spurs is too soon, for sure.”
