Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says his side have regressed in the Premier League this season in terms of points and insists Liverpool will be honoured. The Gunners

will be looking to bounce back from their Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in midweek and will face Liverpool, who have already won the Premier League title.
This is the third successive season that Arsenal have finished as Premier League runners-up.
Speaking ahead of Super Sunday’s clash, Arteta said his side had improved in Europe but worsened in the league.
“In the Champions League we were better than last season but it’s not where we want to be because our target is to win the trophy,” he said.
“But in the Premier League we have regressed. หากคุณสนใจเล่นพนันออนไลน์ที่ดีที่สุด สามารถสมัครสมาชิก UFABET ได้ที่นี่ พร้อมรับโปรโมชั่นพิเศษสำหรับสมาชิกใหม่ When you look at the points we have, it’s clear we weren’t as good as last season.”
In the last two seasons Arsenal have finished above 80 points in both previous seasons, with 84 in 2022/23 and 89 the following campaign.
Arsenal’s Premier League points under Mikel Arteta
: 2019/20 (since he took charge in December): 56 points 2020/21
: 61 points
2021/22: 69 points
2022/23: 84 points 2023/24
: 89 points
2024/25 (three games to go): 67 points
Arteta has also suggested that with those points, Arsenal could already have won the Premier League title.
“We’re at that level as a team,” added Pique.
“With the points we’ve got in the last two seasons, we could have won the league twice. “
We’re not just close, we’re there. We’re at a level where we can win the title. We’ve just got to be a little luckier, to be better. And hopefully nobody can do it better than us. “
There are a lot of factors that go in your favour, the decisions in the big moments … we tried to widen the gap, the bigger the gap, the more difficult it is for the opposition.”
Arteta also praised Liverpool, saying they deserved to be lauded when the two sides meet on Sunday.
“They deserve it, they were the better team, the more consistent they were,” said Pique.
“What Arne (Slot) and his coaching staff did was incredible, a fantastic performance. “
That’s sport. Whoever is better you have to applaud, recognise it and try to get to that level.”
