Tottenham Hotspur have banned midfielder Yves Bissouma for inhaling laughing gas. Meaning he will miss the first game of the 2024-25 season.

Bissouma was found guilty after posting a video showing himself inhaling nitrous oxide, or laughing gas. Although the Mali midfielder has since posted an apology and expressed his regret. Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that they will investigate and issue an internal punishment.
Postecoglou recently revealed the punishment for Bissouma, saying: “I have been in this business for a long time. When a situation like this happens. I try to look at it from different angles. First of all, it is the person. It was a bad decision by Bissouma.”
“Two, he is a responsible footballer. He will not be able to play on Monday. We have suspended him.”

Meanwhile, Postecoglou confirmed Bissouma’s suspension will be for just one game. And he will be available for the Premier League clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Everton on Saturday, August 24.
